Plates
Rectangular plate volume uses length × width × thickness. Round and ring plates use their circular cross-sectional areas.
Calculate theoretical weight and material price for plates, rings, round bars and hex bars using your selected material and dimensions.
The calculator converts the selected profile dimensions from millimetres into volume, applies the density stored in Deulec’s material library, then multiplies the calculated weight by quantity and price per kilogram.
Rectangular plate volume uses length × width × thickness. Round and ring plates use their circular cross-sectional areas.
Round-bar volume uses π ÷ 4 × diameter² × length.
Hex-bar size is entered across flats. Its cross-sectional area is √3 ÷ 2 × across-flats size².
Total material price equals calculated total weight × the entered rate per kilogram.
Results are theoretical estimates. Confirm mill tolerances, cutting allowance, actual supplied weight, taxes, transport and current commercial pricing before purchasing.
